For startups

Land your first logo with their own comic bookWITH THEIR OWN COMIC BOOK

You can't outspend anyone, so you have to out-remember them. Send the design partner, first customer, or angel who took the call a comic book where they're the hero — for less than the swag run nobody asked for.

Why this beats the swag budget

Look bigger than your headcount.

A company nobody has heard of sending a comic starring the buyer stops being a company nobody has heard of. It sits on their desk while they decide whether a five-person startup is a safe bet, and it argues that you sweat the details.

  • Kept on the desk

Your name sits in their eyeline every single day.

  • Shown to the rest of their team

They explain who you are on your behalf.

  • Remembered at renewal

You're the vendor who did the thing nobody else did.

You get one shot at being memorable

What everyone else sends

  • Branded hoodies carrying a logo nobody recognises yet
  • A gift card, which reads as a transaction, not a thank-you
  • The fifth follow-up in a thread that died two weeks ago

What a comic does instead

  • Puts their face on a printed cover with their name on it
  • Tells the story of the bet they made on you, in panels
  • Gets photographed and posted by the recipient, not by you

Punch far aboveyour logo's weight

Nobody has heard of you yet, so the gift has to do the arguing. A comic starring the person you're trying to win says more about how you'll treat them as a customer than any slide in the deck, and it lands on a desk instead of in a filtered inbox.

Turn design partnersinto evangelists

Your first users carry you into rooms you can't get into on your own. Draw one of them as the hero of the launch they helped ship and they'll show it to everybody who asks what they've been working on.

Cheaper than the swagboxed up in your closet

There's no minimum order, so this doesn't need a budget line. Start with the one relationship that decides your quarter, watch what happens, and only then think about a batch.

The questions you're about to ask

Isn't this a lot for a pre-seed budget?

There's no minimum order, so you're comparing one comic against one hoodie, not against a whole swag run. The digital editions are the cheapest way to find out whether it works on the account you care about most.

How fast can we get one?

Most comics are finished within 2 days of ordering. Digital editions arrive as soon as they're done; printed copies ship 4–7 business days after that. If you're aiming at a demo day or a launch date, email us before you order and we'll tell you honestly whether it's doable.

Won't it come across as gimmicky?

It comes across as effort. The story is about them — the problem they took a chance on, the thing they shipped with you — and that's what makes it read as a thank-you rather than a stunt. A generic comic with your logo on the cover would be the gimmick; that's not what we make.

Can our product be in the story?

Tell us in the brief who and what should appear and we'll work it into the plot where it fits naturally. The recipient stays the hero, though — the moment the product becomes the hero, it stops being a gift.

Do we need their permission to use photos?

Yes. Please make sure the recipient is fine with you sending us their photos before you order. It's their likeness, and their employer may have its own rules about gifts on top of that.
